Datum Studio is a design research practice in Meanjin/Brisbane. Datum works across the traditional boundaries defined by architecture, interior and film.
David McEvoy is an architect. David holds a Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Design (Honours), and Bachelor of Arts. Prior to establishing Datum, David worked with a number of local and international design practices, including Hassell, Archipelago, bureau^proberts and Arkhefield.
David is also an academic; he is Associate Fellow HEA at both the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology, where he teaches design, theory and representation in the Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architectural Design.
As a practice, Datum works on unceded country of the Turrbal and Yugara; places of a millennia long tradition of formative research.
